Where is God?

Where is God and why does he let bad things happen? On March 20, 1980 a very large cataclysmic event occurred that should have awakened the people of this nation as a warning of more impending things to come. Mount Saint Helens exploded in an event that has not been in recorded history. It killed 57 people and devastated 230 square miles of wilderness. This warning went unheeded and we as a nation continued to erase God from our lives.
We were teaching evolution and not creation in our schools but we went further astray when we stopped public prayer in schools and other public gatherings. We as a nation did not listen to God’s warnings:
Leviticus 26:14 But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments;
15 And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant:
16 I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.
17 And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you.
18 And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.
19 And I will break the pride of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as brass:
20 And your strength shall be spent in vain: for your land shall not yield her increase, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruits.
21 And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins.
So God warned us again on February 26,1993 when six people were killed and over 1,000 were injured in the World Trade Center bombing. Did we turn to God after this? No! We had the Ten Commandments removed from all public buildings and our courtrooms. God warned us again on September 11,2001 when he allowed our enemies to capture our own airplanes and fly them into the World Trade Center buildings and also the Pentagon building killing at least 2986 people. This was the most lethal act in the history of the United States.
After the World Trade Center travesty some of our people went back to church and used the word God in a positive manner for a short time. It soon was forgotten and we got back to our business of removing God totally from our lives. We do not realize that we are engaged in a war in Iraq and Afghanistan that we can not win because God is not with us. He is using our enemies to punish us for disbelief and not keeping his commandments. We as a nation will never again fully win a war until we turn as a nation back to God and keep his commandments.
God has once again chastised us for our unbelief and not keeping his commandments. Hurricanes Katrina and Rita have hit this nation in the "party city" of the nation and have just about destroyed New Orleans. This was the most expensive and worst catastrophe in the history of the United States.
Revelations 18:1 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.
2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
6 Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.
7 How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.
9 And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,
10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.
Where is God while all this is happening to US? He is sitting on his throne as always and letting us alone, just like we have rejected him. He does not cause bad things to happen but allows them to happen to a rebellious and unrepentant people. He allows it to happen so we will humble ourselves and return to his ways.
Please! I beg of all this great nation of ours to turn from our ways of evil and put God back in our private and public lives. We can worship God publicly without violating the separation of church and state. Let us put God back in our schools and our courts. Let us put God back in our lives before it is too late.
